Krones Health Management was honoured with this year’s German Human Resources Award, one of the most prestigious HR awards in the German-speaking world, for its “Nicht nur Kopfsache“ (“Not just a matter of the mind”) campaign.
“Mental health affects everyone”
With “Nicht nur Kopfsache“ (“Not just a matter of the mind”), Krones Health Management focussed on the topic of mental health for six months at six locations and specifically raised awareness of mental stress.
This included on-site programmes, interactive webinars and – together with the Robert Enke Foundation – an immersive virtual reality experience that enabled employees to directly experience the perspective and emotional world of a depressed person. This innovative approach strengthens understanding and promotes an open approach to mental stress.
“Mental health affects everyone. However, it is still a topic that is unfortunately taboo in society. This makes it all the more important to talk about it. Our aim was to inform, sensitise and encourage employees to take a closer look,” says Florian Hirsch, Head of Corporate Health Management at Krones. “We are delighted to have been recognised by these two independent organisations and see this as confirmation that we can continue our work in this direction and provide clear impetus.”
