The machine for tax strip and lid labelling
Optimally-secured caps
The Ergomatic with Taxomatic labelling station is designed to apply U-shaped or L-shaped tax strips, or tamper-evident seals over the container cap. This machine can also decorate the lids of jars and other containers with the largest variety of labels. For such applications, the Taxomat labelling station can also be integrated in various Krones labellers as an additional labelling station.
Beverage cans can be additionally covered with pre-cut foils, which offer hygienic protection while also providing additional advertising space.
At a glance
- Decoration of glass containers with tax strips, tamper-evident strips or lid labels
- Application of foils to cans to provide hygienic protection
- Output range:
- 3,000 to 40,000 containers per hour with tamper-evident strips or lid labels
- Up to 60,000 cans per hour with foils
Method of operation
With the Ergomatic, the Taxomat labelling station is installed vertically above the infeed starwheel. The tax strips, lid labels, or foils are transferred to the containers directly from above. Depending on the characteristics of the caps and containers, the labels are applied either with only cold glue or optionally with additional hotmelt. After labelling, the labels are precisely pressedon at the container table. The pressing-on pads made of gluerepellent silicone are shaped to correspond exactly to the container’s contour in the neck area. and are controlled by a double cam in the upper section of the machine.
The Taxomat can also be integrated in a Krones labeller as an additional labelling station. The tamper-evident seals or lid labels are usually applied at a transfer starwheel, which is positioned after the first container table in the machine. The labels are then pressed on at a second container table.
